Permanent and Full Time Role
Annual Salary:
£45,000
We are delighted to be working on behalf of our successful international client who is a major leader in their field of specialised manufacturing, helping them to secure a permanent and full time Material Planning Manager for their team in Westbury.
Based in Westbury, this is a key role, responsible for delivering a range of procurement solutions to meet the evolving organisational needs, ensuring an effective supply chain, whilst maintaining commercial focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing purchasing information and systems, specifically responsible for the preparation and process of purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Effective proactive liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan and supply to required quality.
- Identify material shortages and communicate throughout the relevant departments.
- Manage the ERP system to identify requirements and place orders in line with the authority matrix.
- Work with the relevant departments to reduce the stock levels and improve cash flow.
- Manage stocks rotation to ensure FIFO control over multiple warehouses.
- Administration and reporting as necessary.
- Housekeeping within the department, including keeping relevant work areas organised.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing records as required.
- Adhere to all elements of the Company's quality standards and business policies.
- Track and monitor the OTIF progress of relevant suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery.
- Ensure all overdue deliveries are monitored with feedback provided internally.
- Participate in company stock takes.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Carry out any reasonable duties as designated by senior management.
- Actively support and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
- Structured and well organised working methods.
- Any other job duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the Company operating procedures, safe systems of work, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the company requirements.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
