    Role: Site Engineer

    Day Rate: £350 PAYE

    Duration: 12 Months


    Location: Bournemouth


    Fusion People is currently looking for a Site Engineer to join their team at a site in Bournemouth.

    The Site Engineer will be reporting to the relevant manager and will have the crucial responsibility of setting out on-site.

    • Setting out on-site using various methods (GPS/EDM/Total Station, etc.) for all types of work such as drainage, earthworks, roadworks, ducting, site clearance, fencing, structures, etc.
    • Working collaboratively within a team, providing assistance when needed, while also being capable of working independently when required.
    • Maintaining a detailed daily diary of on-site activities.
    • Ensuring quality standards are met by completing check sheets in line with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
    • Conducting safety and workplace inspections and issuing permits as necessary.
    • Performing CAT & Genny surveys before excavation work begins.
    • Attending site meetings concerning schedules, safety, and work areas.
    • Possessing strong communication skills to interact effectively with the team, subcontractors, the public, and clients.
    • Conducting site surveys and creating survey work/construction sequence sketches.

    Training/Competency Requirements:

    • Relevant CSCS card
    • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the civil engineering sector
    • CAT & Genny training (optional)
    • First Aid certification (optional)
    • Safety Critical Medical certification (optional)
    • Laptop (optional)
    • AutoCAD knowledge (optional)

    Typical Working Hours:

    • Monday to Friday until 18:00
    • Saturday & Sunday (if needed for road closures or specific tasks, advanced notice will be given)
