PROFILE


We are looking for a part time administrator to provide administrative support for our team of Restorative Mentors working in the Greater Manchester region.

This role will be a maternity cover - 20 hours per week.

You will be a key team member and the central point of contact for referrals to the service.

The following will be required the following key elements within your Administrator role:

  • Professionally work in partnership with Greater Manchester Youth Justice Services, Greater Manchester Police and other agencies in the support offered by the Remedi mentors and follow GDPR policies at all times.
  • Work closely with the team Coordinator to initially determine the support elements needed and allocate appropriate cases to the Remedi Practitioners across Greater Manchester.
  • You will be responsible for making regular contact with the Remedi practitioners to follow up cases, data and paperwork for files and monitoring purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Remedi case recording systems and databases, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
  • Attend regular team and partner agency meetings and produce accurate and detailed minutes of those meetings.
  • Responsible for providing the Remedi Manager and/or Coordinator with up to date and accurate data when requested from the Case Management System and Case files.

The skills and qualities you will need to do the job well are:


COMMUNICATION:


  • You will need to have excellent communication skills, which will involve listening and responding to what is being said so people will feel supported, valued and prepared to engage in the service. This may also involve signposting to other agencies for support.
You will also need to remain professional at all times when communicating with Partner agencies, service users and colleagues.


FLEXIBILITY- You will be required to work flexible hours from Monday-Friday that meet the needs of the service.


MOTIVATION- The role is very rewarding and enables people affected by crime (both victims and perpetrators) to Cope and Recover. An ability to work on your own initiative and identify areas of administration which can be delivered and streamlined for a more effective service is essential. This is not your average Administration role, it is very fast paced and demanding at times. You will be lone working a lot of the time taking phone calls and checking in and out with practitioners who will be working across Greater Manchester to support their safety and providing them with risk information about cases.

There will be an expectation you promote and raise awareness of the service positively at all times.

We want you to be the type of person that will see this as a challenge you want to meet because when it is achieved, lives are changed.


You will need to be organized and prompt in navigating systems and providing the Remedi Practitioners and Manager with relevant information and support.


IT CAPABLE- it is essential that you are proficient in using:

  • Electronic calendar
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft TEAMS and ZOOM communications platforms.
  • Proficient in the use of appropriate Police IT systems (Please note, training and support will be provided in this area of work)


You will be required to record, monitor and collate statistics and feedback gathered from service users on electronic IT systems.

Accurate and up to date information is essential.

WHAT TO EXPECT


The role covers Greater Manchester but you may be asked to travel to Sheffield and other areas in which Remedi operate for training and staff development purposes.

Expenses will be covered.

  • The role requires an enhanced DBS check and level 3 police vetting
- £16,732 per annum pro-rata (£9,561 actual)

  • 6% employer pension contribution
This post will cover maternity leave from 1stApril 2023.
