    Description

    Closing Date 23rd of June.

    You will work as part of the UK Omega ledger team supporting multiple parts of the NOV UK business. This will include responsibility for the accurate and timely reporting of financials information and reporting on the SOX controls on a quarterly basis. You will also be expected to actively support the Accountant and Accounting Manager with their reporting responsibilities including SOX controls.

    You should be a detail-oriented person and keen to take on fresh challenges. This role will provide many opportunities to develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge of NOV systems and policies.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial information
  • Support with reporting responsibilities. This will include, amongst other activities, aging analysis, SOX reporting and variance analysis.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure the ledgers are in compliance with accounting regulations, company policies and reporting requirements
  • Liaise with internal and external audit teams to support audit requirements
  • Prepare monthly VAT reconciliations for review and submission
  • Actively look to automate and streamline processes within the roles area of responsibility
  • Performs any other job duties as assigned appropriately by the Accounting Manager
  • Comply with and promote all NOV company and HSE policies and procedures

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree qualified with Accounting or Finance related degree (essential)
  • Part-qualified ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA (desirable)

    • EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an accounting role (essential)
  • Previous experience working with non-finance people (essential)
  • Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment (desirable)

    • SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience in a SOX controls environment (desirable)
  • ERP Systems knowledge (essential)
  • UK VAT Knowledge (essential)
