£47.000


What you'll be doing:


  • Leading a team of Production Planners interpreting customer requirements for ship repair activities into separate production steps that suit our production capabilities, processes and methods and how our production teams are organised
  • Maintaining the quality output of production planning and ensuring the technical information, resources and materials required for the work are identified
  • Liaising with other departments, including Procurement and Scheduling, and allocating and prioritising work as one team to ensure that planning work is completed to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Ensuring that your Production Planning team process work to the point where it is kitted and enabled for delivery to meet the ship repair delivery project schedule
  • Using an integrated ERP system to undertake the planning and work enablement processes and ensuring that the data contained in the system is the primary source of information for all stakeholders
  • Participating in and supporting the creation and display of performance metrics used to measure planning output; suggesting and promoting potential improvements
  • Maintaining a close relationship with the production capability teams and subcontractors to ensure that we continuously improve and benchmark our planning and estimating norms and supporting the process to standardise and create libraries for repeatable work
  • Deputising for the Operations Planning Manager when required and attending project/bid meetings, working as part of an overall delivery team tasked with the successful delivery of ship repair work

Your skills and experiences:


  • Have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of ship repair production processes
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel/Access and able to use an ERP system
  • Have experience in stakeholder management
