Finance Associate - Private Equity Family Office

My Client:


  • My client is a team of investors deploying capital for an ultra high net worth European family office
  • They invest into Private Equity funds managed by GP's based in Europe and North America as well as making Equity coinvestments alongside these funds
  • The team currently consists of seven professionals and one senior advisor with 1 in finance
  • Collaborative culture team size means working alongside all colleagues in various departments
  • Modern office based in central London

Role Purpose:


Corporate Accounting

  • Supporting the finance function with statutory accounts preparation and audits
  • Management reporting and forecasting
  • Corporate tax, VAT and other regulatory reporting
  • Participating in adhoc financial operations/projects
  • Responsible for the Accounts Payable process for the group
  • Cash management and liquidity reporting
  • Documentation management for Finance and the wider business

Fund Accounting, reporting and analysis

  • Oversight of, and liaison with, the thirdparty fund administrators of the firms fund vehicles
  • Capture, review and approval of investment transactions and payments
  • Preparation and analysis of periodic valuation updates and other investment data
  • Review of periodic management accounts
  • Collaborative working with Investment Team and other colleagues

Business support

  • Supporting the CEO and FD in business operations, including supplier management
  • Investor relations with Family office and other coinvestors
  • Assistance in office management

What my client is looking for:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with 1-3 years UK work experience coming from practice OR a fund administration firm OR a financial services business
  • Strong academic background minimum 2:1 degree required
  • Selfstarter ability to work in a team or independently as required
  • Strong MS Excel skills and experience needed
  • Role requires exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
