Description

A start-up digital Tech business in London is recruiting for a Financial Controller to join their growing team.

This is a successful, innovative and diverse business who have grown rapidly in the last 5 years and as a result they're now looking to bring on-board an in-house Financial Controller to continue supporting that growth and build out the finance function.

The Financial Controller will act as a key business partner, working closely with the Leadership Team.

As a standalone you will span the full remit of both operational and strategic to support business decision making and strategic planning.

Offering fully remote working or hybrid if preferred alongside an annual salary of up to £70,000 + a number of great benefits around mental health, private healthcare and learning & development etc.

Key responsibilities:

Produce monthly Management Accounts
Prepare Board packs for board to review, working with the CEO to create

- narrative and slides

Maintain commercial trackers & sales metrics, report on KPIs, calculate and process commission payments
Provide cash flow modelling and dynamic reporting to the Leadership Team and
Board as required
Support the CEO with financial modelling of different scenarios to support with planning for Board meetings
Take ownership of financial processes and controls across the company
Lead effective AP & AR processes, managing cash flow effectively and making bank payments as required
Work with the Accountants to ensure accounting and bookkeeping is done on a weekly basis
Oversee the monthly payroll
Manage deferred revenue effectively in compliance with IFRS 15 and management expectations
Work with the CEO to update investors on quarterly numbers and manage covenant reporting to senior lender

Key requirements:

Must be a qualified Accountant
ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
3 years+ financebased experience ideally within Media, Entertainment or Creative/Advertising Agency
Financial modelling experience and an ability to model out different growth scenarios effectively
An understanding of, and confident with different revenue streams
Proven ability to manage multiple external and internal stakeholder relationships
