    A range of ser­vic­es has al­so been de­vel­oped to ex­ploit the lat­est tech­nol­ogy to max­i­mise ef­fi­ci­ency and min­i­mise cost of own­er­ship of new and ex­ist­ing plants and pro­cess­es.

    We are now seeking, for our site in Pe­ter­bo­rough:

    Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)

    Working in cooperation with multiple pro­ject stake­holders, you will be respon­sible for the commissioning of our equip­ment, and the super­vision of electrical installation at custo­mers' sites around the world.
    You will be the ambassador of our brand at our customers' sites, as you will be the last techni­cian remaining on site during accep­tance tests and pro­duction launch.

    Main Duties
    • Commission machi­nery so that its mecha­nical, elec­trical, soft­ware and process functions perform to contract specification
    • Modify and fault-find soft­ware for a variety of PLC platforms
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by being resourceful on site
    • When required, supervise other engi­neers on site employed or contracted by Baker Perkins or by the customer
    • Be aware of and demon­strate the company values and behaviours
    • Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management
    • Support technical and customer services in the office and on site
    • Participate in continuous improvement, helping R&D, manufacturing, customer services, drawing office, etc.
    Candidate Profile
    • Experience in installing and commissioning value-added capi­tal equip­ment: food and beve­rage, O&G, pharmaceuticals, etc.
    • Knowledge in fault-fin­ding and program changing on PLC (Rockwell-Siemens and others) and HMI (Rockwell-WinCC
    • Good mechanical and elec­trical skills as well as a hands-on mindset
    • Customer focus with excellent communi­cation skills and a success­ful track record of develo­ping custo­mer relation­ships
    • Competence to prio­ritise tasks and work under pressure
    • Capability to work alone but still be part of a team
    • Cultural openness
    • Ability to work away from home for exten­ded periods, both in the UK and overseas – up to 75% travelling around the world
