We're currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to be based in our customer site in Nottingham.

As part of this busy transport operation, you'll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers across Monday to Friday, on rotating shifts 6am-2pm & 10am-6pm.


Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Support the Transport Team Manager in their daily duties
  • Management of Core Fleet Drivers & Subcontract Haulier drivers
  • Deputise for Transport Team Manager as required
  • Ensure quality control of, all subcontractors and suppliers
  • Foster, maintain and improve relationships with colleagues throughout XPO and
with other depots.

  • Raising training needs and requirements to Transport Team Manager
  • To ensure all company procedures and processes are being followed by operators
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by the Transport Team Manager/Transport
Operations Manager

  • To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development
needs and business requirements

  • Work with Fleet Administrator to ensure vehicles/trailers are inspected/Serviced/MOT
within agreed service schedules.

  • To undertake any other reasonable task as required.
  • To maintain fleet standard and act on defects
  • To ensure tachograph records are up to date
  • To act upon personal and road traffic accidents

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast moving
Environment

  • CPC* would be desirable
  • Working knowledge of driver hours regulations
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
