- Ensure the daily plan is completed in real time, managing resources effectively and maximising utilisation.
- Understand and be able to achieve key performance targets.
- Create collection plans to inform suppliers of loading requirements.
- Liaise with carriers/sub-contractors across Europe to ensure customers' loads are delivered on time
- Have 2 years' experience of transport planning and a good understanding of UK transport lanes.
- Previous experience in working within the logistics sector and must be experienced in providing transport quotes and negotiating costs with carriers.
- Be proactive – anticipating when and where problems may occur
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Be IT literate and able to work across multiple systems
