About the role

We are now looking to recruit a
driven individual from a Building trade/ Construction related background, to undertake
assurance and compliance visits to properties post the completion of works being undertaken.

The surveys will be based on the Whole House Approach to energy efficiency within the domestic property environment. Therefore, a
good domestic building knowledge preferably through a related trade qualification would be preferable.


This role will report directly into the Operations Manager and will be home-based with an expectation to visit the TrustMark offices, based in Basingstoke, when not attending visits.


About you

  • Here's what you will need to be successful in the role:
  • Significant Building trade/construction based knowledge and experience and or experience within domestic energy retrofit.
  • Ideally hold qualifications or similar qualifications relevant to the Building trade/Construction relation to domestic energy retrofit.
  • Experience and awareness of building construction, standards, and legislation.
  • Ability to work remotely and on own initiative managing your portfolio of work efficiently to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality in all areas of your work.
  • Provide excellent customer service being the external representative of TrustMark to home owners.
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Be empathetic and understanding of situations but with the ability to remain independent focusing on the matter in hand.
  • A successful track record of delivering building/trades services, or management of substantial work programmes in a similar environment, would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Travelling will be required and may include some overnight accommodation away from home.
  • A current and valid driving license will be required as will a DBS clearance.

Salary:

£40K per Annum

Since this time, in response to the industry-led, Government-commissioned Each Home Counts (EHC) review, the TrustMark remit has expanded to include all Repair, Maintenance and Improvement (RMI), Energy Efficiency and Retrofit measures, providing a level playing field of quality for consumers having work carried out in or around their home.

TrustMark operates within a Master License Agreement issued by the UK Government. TrustMark is a 'not-for-profit' social enterprise.


When a consumer uses a TrustMark registered business, they are engaging an organisation that has been vetted to meet required standards, and has made a commitment to good customer service, technical competence, and trading practices.

TrustMark work with a network of scheme providers to ensure registered business adhere to and maintain these standards.

To ensure a high quality of workmanship and trading practices, TrustMark runs a programme of desktop and on-site inspections to inform our work with schemes.


Salary:

Up to £40,000.00 per year
