Whilst being a part of the Thames Major Projects Hub this role will be spending the majority of its time working closely with the River Thames Scheme projects leadership team.

The River Thames Scheme (RTS) is a £500m major project reducing flood risk, enhancing the environment, and encouraging economic growth and is being delivered in partnership with Surrey County Council.

The key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, delivery and record keeping for inclusive and effective RTS Leadership and Governance meetings.
  • Commission and coordinate written and verbal briefings for visits, events, speeches, internal and external meetings.
  • Manage correspondence and requests for information.
  • Provide technical leadership to a small team of Project Support Officers providing administrative support to the Project Director.

Key tasks:

  • Supervise the management of calendars for Project Director, Project Executive and Project Management Office Lead to ensure they are prepared for activities, meetings, and events.
  • Organise quarterly Town Hall events.
  • Manage agenda and logistics of complex meetings and events
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do.

You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident.

This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
