- Monitor finance inbox and responsible for payables inbox.
- Monitor the Purchase Ledger, recording payments on the invoice log and posting to SAP. Knowledge of prepayments and extraordinary payments is a bonus.
- BACS run twice monthly.
- Bank Rec entries - entering bank receipts & payments to cashflow and posting to SAP.
- Manual bank payments and setting up new vendors.
- Credit control. Update the credit control spreadsheet after any cash receipts received/posted to SAP to show current overdue.
- Purchase Ledger Review - ensure all entries on the invoice log posted that month are posted correctly. Discuss any matters arising.
- Raise intercompany invoices and recharges.
- Balance sheet reconciliation for Purchase Ledger
- Ad-hoc tasks
- Accounts assistant with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated and proven ability to work within a team to achieve common goals
- Experience in the implementation of best in class Financial controls and procedures
- Ability to work with significant volumes of data
- Ability to work on their own to deliver results within a short period of time.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Previously worked in an environment of cross company re-charges an advantage.
- Strong IT skills – Office 365 suite
- Self-starter ability to identify & resolve problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels in a large organisation, inside and outside of the finance function
- Ability to work with significant volumes of data.
- Practical, organised and results focused.
