Key Responsibilities:
Provide Support:
Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, focusing on students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.
Emotional Support:
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported emotionally.
Individualized Learning:
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, tailoring approaches to their specific challenges and abilities.
Behavior Management:
Implement effective behavior management techniques, maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere in the classroom.
Collaboration:
Work closely with teachers, educational psychologists, and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Progress Monitoring:
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
Promote Inclusion:
Champion inclusive practices and promote the social integration of students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in working with these students.
