TheRole
Accountable for thedevelopment of relevant Mainline apparel collections which arealigned to the commercial brief and the product rangeplans.
Understands and adheres to key dates and gatesso that orders can be placed ontime and according to the Mainlinecalendar.
Responsibilities
Developingproduct from the initial concept through the development process topreproduction stage and all quality points to ensure that the endproduct is fit for purpose.
Working closely withthe design team you will source new ranges to develop the styleconcept as required consideringcosts/margins.
Chasing initial prices &negotiating s once styles & quantities areconfirmed.
Maintain and manage the critical pathprocess ensuring all details are kept up todate.
Building the rangeplan.
Liaise directly with suppliers /factories
Build effective relationships andcommunication within other businessdepartments.
Approve lab dips and bulkfabrics.
Liaise with all supply bases to achievecritical path dates.
Ensure that all qualitypoints of the product are achieved to ensure that the product isfit forpurpose
Skills& Qualities
The idealcandidate will have a background in productdevelopment.
Be a team player whilst being ableto work individually using owninitiative.
Excellent communication skillsessential.
Must have experience dealing withoffshore suppliers/manufacturers and solid experience of managing acritical path & pricenegotiation.
