Are you an experienced
'Lift Installation / Maintenance Engineer' looking for a new career opportunity in the education sector?

We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Assessor to join our Engineering Team. No previous experience required, as full training will be provided.

REPORTS TO:
Operations Manager (Engineering)


OVERALL PURPOSE:

To demonstrate a high quality of professional practice and provide engineering experience at a variety of levels (Level - Level 4).

Devise action plans and maintain appropriate records to support Apprentices through their Apprenticeship. This role will involve travel around London and surrounding areas.


MAIN DUTIES:


  • To support apprentices through their learning journey to ensure they achieve the expected knowledge, skills and behaviours of their apprenticeship programme.
  • To operate as an effective member of the engineering team and work closely with other areas of the business.
  • To carry out duties associated with apprenticeship standards, including writing assessments, reports, End Point Assessment preparation and awarding body requirements.
  • To ensure safe working practices are observed by yourself and others (including learners) for whom you are responsible.
  • To provide such returns or reports as may from time to time as required by the Company Directors or Operations Manager.
  • To assist in the recruitment of learners, including interviewing and enrolments.
  • To assist in the marketing and promotion of Train'd Up provision.
  • To assist in the development of curriculum support materials.
  • To assist with programmes of work experience and/or industrial and commercial liaison, including the organisation and monitoring of work experience placements.
  • To ensure the principles of equality and diversity are upheld.
  • To maintain plant and machinery where practicable.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:


  • Undertake additional duties as required.
  • To ensure Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures are adhered to and safe working practices are observed by you and others (including learners) for whom they are responsible.
  • To promote the company ethos with regard to Equality and Diversity and act as a role model.
  • You will be required to become qualified as a First Aider.
  • To take part in approved staff development as part of the Train'd Up staff development programme. It is mandatory for employees to complete 'Safeguarding Young and Vulnerable Adults' training after which you will receive a certificate.


Applicants must be qualified to a recognised industry standard, hold a teaching qualification (or be prepared to undertake one), hold an Assessor Award (or be prepared to undertake one).
