EQS Qualification and Assessment Policy Specialist

Location:

Birmingham - We anticipate that this particular role can be performed with a hybrid working arrangement which balances working from home and the office.

As this role is contractually based in our Birmingham office, it is expected that regular attendance in the office will be required in line with business, department and team needs.


Job Purpose:

To support the development and implementation of RICS policy related to entry and assessment into the profession. This role will create clarity and provide support to stakeholders through consistent and cohesive policy and information.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, creation and management of policy and assessment documentation for all routes, and assessments, including those leading to AssocRICS, MRICS, FRICS, and chartered alternative designations
  • Lead the planning, and policy requirements to inform publication/delivery of written, audio and visual content for qualifications and assessments to enable operationalisation across multiple channels, formats and business areas
  • Manage the RICS portfolio of schemes and credentials, leading a review of each area and supporting with Assessment Operations to implement necessary changes and developments
  • Report writing and attendance at relevant Boards, Committees and Steering Groups
  • Where appropriate work with third parties to ensure RICS understands and implements the requirements of certifications with relevant internal/external stakeholders

Experience / Skills Required

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to present complex policy areas in a way that is easy to understand, both in written and verbal form
  • Positive communication skills and able to confidently pitch and defend EQS policy to stakeholders, listen to feedback and collaborate across teams
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • A selfstarter who can work independently
  • A creative thinker who can produce innovative material
  • Experience working within a regulated/standards/compliance sector (or an appreciation of balancing prescribed policy and userfriendly content)
