Are you an Operations Manager with manufacturing and engineering experience working at the top of your game and looking for a new challenge?


Working as part of the Site Manufacturing Team, you'll be responsible for managing the safe, efficient, and effective operation of two bread production plants and a bread roll plant.

You will also be the lead person on site when working across weekends.

Withexperience across operations, your role will be to manage two shift teams to meet deadlines and targets to ensure our quality products reach customers on time and in full.


The Recipe


The role is at the heart of our site management team and you will be obsessive about continuously improving and managing your team to be the very best they can be.

We need you to be passionate, values-led and customer service focused. We take pride in ourfresh products that are delivered directly to our customers daily, on time and in full.


Safety is our number one priority and you will be responsible for ensuring our Health, Safety & Environmental principles are never compromised ensuring compliance to legislation and company standards.

You will lead and engage your team to deliver the annualHSE plan and drive the HSE culture change through team involvement, ownership and responsibility for HSE activities.


Cross functional working is a way of life within Warburtons and this role interacts with a variety of different areas of the business.

You will need to be a credible, all-round operations manager and leader of people. Plant efficiencies, damage levels andefficient change-overs are all KPI's along with quality, freshness and service level measures.

To keep any operations team moving you'll need to be an excellent planner at the same time as keeping an eye on KPI's and performance standards.

We are also passionate about our people. You'll be a strong people manager and communicator, able to engage and lead your Team Managers.

As well as inspiring your team, you will be able to influence the wider team and keep your team one step ahead by ensuringtheir ongoing growth with strong, relevant personal development plans.

This is a fast-paced, wide ranging manufacturing role in a site that operates 24/7.

To juggle all that this job brings, you will certainly have to be highly-organised and flexible, making things happen when the need arises.


Essential Ingredients

-An experienced and proven manager of people working in a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG

  • Able to work shift patterns that include weekends, evenings and bank holidays
  • Planning and budgetary experience, stock movement and control and KPI management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Numerate with attention to detail & excellent organisational skills
  • Good time management and able to work under pressure
  • Experience of managing HR processes including absencemanagement, 121's, employee engagement and performance improvement
  • A great allround team player, able to roll up your sleeve and get involved in all areas of Operational Management as required
