Quality Control Supervisor - Derby
We are looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to contribute towards Quadralene's strategic vision.

You will have the opportunity to make a difference by supervising all aspects and functions of the Quality Control Lab to support the manufacture and release of regulated products into global markets in accordance with their registered specifications.

You will collaborate with colleagues, to share, build together and meet our goals.


Day to day responsibilities will include:

Perform, and supervise the following:

  • Complete operational QC testing for raw materials, in process goods, and finished products in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Issuance of batch sheets, batch labels, including UDI, and product labels in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Generate COAs and other batch related documentation.
  • Interact with local ERP system to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Conduct finished product reviews, inputting into product batch release.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained and calibrated according to approved procedures.
  • Management of samples, including retention and stability.
  • Management of label stores.
  • Establish and approve documentation, methods, procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Report on batch nonconformances and out of spec results, determine root cause and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Report on established KPIs.
  • Conduct data analysis and identify trends in test results, including first time pass rates.
  • Provide input to budget including management of stock and spend on QC consumables, reagents and standards.
  • Present QC related data and provide updates at local meetings.
  • Present QC Function during Competent Authority, Notified Body, Internal and other audits

Your experience includes:


  • Relevant scientific degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a regulated industry performing analytical chemical testing and general product/process quality control.
  • IT skills

  • Great written and verbal communication skills as you will need to engage positively with different stakeholders across the business.
  • Methodical thinker that can analyse and evaluate root causes of issues.
  • Takes pride in generating detailed, highquality documentation that is engaging and audit ready.
  • Accountability provide clear and accurate data regarding product and process measurables.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and decision making that is required for effective problem solving.
  • Enthusiasm to drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities and ability to bring others along in order to perform functional fastpaced tasks.
