    The role
    As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team where you will be responsible for delivery and performance management of a critical phase of the programme, utilising your experience of change and dependency management to de-risk and identify opportunities for acceleration.

    Day-to-day, you'll be reporting regular progress updates to the Senior Project Manager and Programme Manager and provision of metrics, as well as:

  • Ensuring risk mitigations are being carried out and managing any issues and/escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Interfacing with the sub-con project manager to ensure supply chain dependencies are being delivered on time to support the wider programme and delivery to the customer.
  • Developing positive working relationships internally and externally and modelling the Babcock behaviours to enable collaboration.
  • Providing support to rolling planning through liaising with subcontractor to understand activities and various interdependencies.
  • Monitoring and managing interdependencies between the internal team, the subcontractor, and the Customer to ensure on-time achievement.

    • This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

    Essential experience of the Project Manager:

  • Prior experience in a similar role in industry would be an advantage.
  • You will play a key role in driving delivery to our customer through planning, motivation, scheduling, other team collaboration, conflict management, management of risks and interdependencies, negotiations, appraisals etc.
  • Change Management experience required.
  • Dependency management experience required.

    • Qualifications for the Project Manager:

  • MQ or PPQ (desirable) or equivalent

    • Security Clearance

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS/Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
