Shift times: 07:00 - 15:00pm

Shift pattern : 5 days ,one week Monday and Tuesday off then next week Wednesday and Thursday off

Job Overview

Mitie has a great opportunity for a Retail Elite
Security
Officer to join the Team.
Retail Elite
Security Officers are
required to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in
their approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.

Main Duties

The elite
security
officer will demonstrate
their character as trustworthy, attentive, and approachable when welcoming clients and customers
To always add a courteous greeting and excellent customer service
As the first point of contact for all customers and clients, the elite
security
officer must be geographically aware of
their local surroundings.
You will be able to protect customers and colleagues from physical and verbal abuse, also deterring violence and public order offences
Respond to any on site incidents and request for assistance from emergency services or Duty Manager if
required:
Reporting to the
Security Operations Manager
they must record, report, and escalate all incidents using the process/system/technology as
required throughout
their shift.

Training

Fully and satisfactorily complete all
required competency training.
To undertake additional training to ensure continuous selfdevelopment.
Use technology to achieve objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

Security and Health & Safety

Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
Stay alert to any threats or changes within the
work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all serious incidents.

What we are looking for

The elite security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
Able to work on their own initiative.
Retail Security experience preferable.
Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs with an ability to work with different teams as required
Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
Capability in the use of technology
An ambassador for great customer service
It is important the Elite Security Officer is calm under pressure.
Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
Frontline Door Supervisor or Security Guarding License essential.
