    Description

    SUMMARY OF POSITION

    • To provide top-notch assessment, treatment, and recovery for all U17 – U19 players in the Professional Development Phase
    • To offer match-day coverage for U17 – U19 teams in the Professional Development Phase
    • To manage medical support for U9 – U12 Foundation Development and U13 – U16 Youth Development Phase squads in line with FA guidelines and the Academy Elite Player Performance Plan
    • To oversee the Academy Sports Science & Medicine department

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Injury Management
      • To oversee medical musculoskeletal issues for U9-U16 players
      • To handle all health matters for U17-U19 players
      • To collaborate with Head of Sports Medicine as needed
      • To provide evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation guidelines
      • To assist players in medical consultations and support their counseling
    • Injury Reduction Strategies
      • To coordinate Physiotherapy & movement screening assessments for all players
      • To run injury prevention programs daily in cooperation with sports science and coaching staff
      • To educate players on injury management and prevention
      • To train part-time physiotherapists
      • To work with the Sport Science team on recovery and prevention strategies
    • Medical Provision of Matches, Training Sessions & Tours
      • To provide match day Physiotherapy cover
      • To offer first aid and assist injured players during matches
      • To organize medical cover for training sessions, matches, and tours following FA guidelines
      • To maintain medical equipment and procedures
    • Management Responsibilities
      • To be involved in recruiting medical staff
      • To participate in medical and planning meetings
      • To supervise part-time physiotherapy staff
      • To manage medical records
      • To evaluate practices regularly
      • To engage in professional development activities
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Professional, reliable, and flexible work approach
      • Passion for rehabilitation, injury treatment, and sports
      • Ability to motivate players in programs
      • Enthusiastic attitude
