local authority in

Hampshire, to recruit an experienced

Library Assistant. If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,

Contract: 3-6 months (Possible Extension)

Salary:
£13.92 p/h (Umbrella)

Start Date:
April 2023

Shift Pattern: 18.5 hours / Part-time

Tues 10.00am to 5.00pm (30 mins lunch) 6.

5 hrs:
-
Weds 10.00am to 5.00pm (30 mins lunch) 6.

5 hrs:
-
Fri 10.00am to 4.00pm (30 mins lunch) 5.5 hrs

DUTIES

To assist with the daytoday organisation of the library and its resources and stock.
To guide any volunteer helpers and to assist with their training and supervision.
To assist children using the library, whether singly or in groups, ensuring that health, safety and welfare procedures are adhered to.
To assist and guide the children in their selection of books and resources and to promote and encourage an enjoyment of books and reading.
To assist with ordering, stocktaking, maintaining books and resources and lifting, organising and arranging books on shelves.
