High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team in Bristol.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students from Primary schools, and SEN schools.

Soft Skills and Qualifications Needed to Be a Successful HLTA:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills, allowing you to plan and deliver engaging educational activities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, as you may be required to work across different school settings.
  • Patience and empathy, ensuring you can effectively support students with diverse needs.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for education, inspiring students to reach their full potential.

The Role and Responsibility of a HLTA:

  • Supporting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring students are actively involved in their learning.
  • Providing oneonone assistance to students who require additional support, helping them to overcome educational challenges.
  • Supervising students during lessons, break times, and offsite activities to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as preparing resources and maintaining student records.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning strategies.
  • Conducting assessments and providing feedback to both teachers and students, enabling continuous improvement in educational outcomes.

The minimum requirement for this role is a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification. Specific qualifications are a bonus but not a requirement.

The Supply Room now offers in house training through CPD certified online courses for designed for a range of SEN needs.

We also provide Team Teach level 2 training during the breaks between terms
