Job Description:


As we continue to grow our product range, we need more amazing people to make sure our products remain the highest quality possible.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Team Leader to join the Cell Sciences Team within Validation and Technical Quality (VTQ).


Working closely with the Characterisation team, the Cell Sciences team is responsible for generating cellular material for validation of a variety of Abcam's products and is a key part of delivering Abcam's goals and values.


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Direct line management of a small team of scientists, currently 6 at various levels.
  • Provide scientific and technical leadership to the team, ensuring ontime delivery of quality cell line material to our internal stakeholders, optimisation of cell culture techniques and establishment of new cell models.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics and implement initiatives to drive improvements.
  • Work with Global Cell Sciences teams to ensure alignment of procedures and best practices across all sites.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives as required within the Validation and Technical Quality group and effectively communicate with various stakeholders on the projects
  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop the team.
