  • About the Role:


We are looking to recruit a reliable, hardworking and multi-skilled team-player to join our small but busy Building Control Team.

You will be responsible for line managing the Building Control Admin Technical Officers and ensuring a professional customer orientated Building Control service is provided to the Public, Architects, Builders and Agents.


The post will involve a variety of technical administrative work, providing organisational, operational and administrative support to the Building Control Surveyors.

You will have responsibility for monitoring key performance indicators and monthly team targets.

You will also assist the Building Control manager with budget monitoring and profiling, and will monitor all monthly income and pursue outstanding debts.


This is a 1 year fixed term, full time position working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday based at Maidstone House (with the flexibility of hybrid working).


About You:

  • You will be educated to A-Level standard/Level 3 NVQ in business administration or have equivalent experience.
  • You will have excellent organisational, numerical, ICT, customer care and communication skills.
  • You should have experience of working in an office environment dealing with customers, and experience in supervising staff or taking the senior lead within a team.
  • You should be highly motivated with the ability to prioritise and multitask where appropriate.
  • It would be desirable if you have prior experience of working within a Building Control environment.
