- Lead the kitchen in the absence of your senior colleagues & provide support for the production team
- Direct the preparation/duties to the commis chefs, chef de parties and other kitchen staff.
- Assisting/sharing in ordering, prep, stock control, to running service & clean down.
- Ensuring strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems
- improvisation and maximise the use of existing stocks where necessary.
- Working with the FOH team to drive the service excellence
- Work on the range with the kitchen team to train, guide & develop
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
- Prepare, produce and present food to the highest standard
- NVQ lv 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment
- Basic IT skills, with Microsoft packages experience
- Experience in menu planning and production
- Exposure to bulk cooking
- The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills.
- A positive and approachable manner
