ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

The team you will be a part of:

  • The Digital Marketing team develops marketing, merchandising and creative strategies and affiliated programs to promote the organization's products and services through the Internet or other digital channels to increase exposure to and business from the target audience and analyzes their effectiveness. Develops and maintains website graphic designs and layout to support the organization's image, identity and brands. May be responsible for social media marketing and online community management.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Product Vision and Strategy:_
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the ecommerce website.
  • Align the product roadmap with business goals and objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:_
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and development teams, to gather and prioritise requirements.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends.
  • Backlog Management:_
  • Create and manage the product backlog, prioritising features and user stories based on business value and customer needs.
  • Break down highlevel requirements into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Release Planning:_
  • Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery of features and improvements.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to define release goals and timelines.
  • User Experience (UX) and Design:_
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create a userfriendly and visually appealing ecommerce experience.
  • Hands on page creation and campaign activation.
  • Support site updates in areas such as but not limited to: SEO and CRM.
  • Advocate for the customer and ensure that the product meets user expectations and usability standards.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration:_
  • Foster strong collaboration between crossfunctional teams, including developers, designers, and QA.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring a shared understanding of goals.
  • Supplier management including contract renewal, processing of invoices and raising purchase orders.
  • Continuous Improvement:_
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of implemented features.
  • Iterate on the product based on user feedback, analytics, and emerging industry trends.
  • Risk Management:_
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to product development, ensuring the timely resolution of issues.
  • Communication:_
  • Effectively communicate the product vision, roadmap, and progress to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing projects.

Minimum requirements:


As an E-commerce Product Owner, you will come from a web design / UX UI design background to support ongoing maintenance of the website.

You will also have experience in e-commerce and be able to demonstrate best practice for ongoing site maintenance and enhancements.


  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an ecommerce environment.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce business processes, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and design thinking.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Markdown language
  • Design skills and knowledge of the following programs:
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • Sketch
  • Figma
  • Invision
