An opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our Signalling & Telecoms department working in our Birmingham office.


Key accountabilities:


Key duties will include:

  • Undertake general office administration duties
  • Support document control withing Signalling when required
  • Support the Management team and provide an efficient and effective general administrative and secretarial support service.
  • Provide a consistent telephone presence on behalf of the team delivering excellent customer service levels and manage the front door to the office.
  • Provide communications to the team, including sending messages as required.
  • Support the resource team with general administration with rostering and van allocation
  • Arrange travel, hotels and vehicles, and order and control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team.
  • Collate timesheets, vehicle inspections & process for commercial/engineering teams.
  • Report team problems e.g. IT and office facilities and monitor response.

Skills & experience:


  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Flexible/proactive can do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage work to meet varying deadlines.
