Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business.

The UK market is a well-developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to very well-developed trade segments.

The UK Off Trade encompasses grocery multiples, symbol groups, eCommerce as well as cash and carry wholesale routes to market.

It is a highly competitive and concentrated market with large scale customers and competitors providing a fast paced and dynamic trading environment.

The Off Trade is a data rich environment which enables a relatively sophisticated analytical approach to managing customers.

The key dynamics include the continued growth of the grocery multiples, the growth of convenience and the development of digital platforms.


This role sits within the Independent Wholesale team, which is responsible for managing key wholesale customers who supply thousands of convenience stores nationwide.

Your role will be to support these customers in getting our products onto retailers' shelves and growing our share of the convenience market.

Your unique contribution

You will have 3 main areas of responsibility:

Grow:
Pernod Ricard's share of voice to push the professional projection of our business and deliver our premium credentials

Develop and execute customer strategies aligned to the channel goals, ensuring agreed PRUK and customer volume and profit contribution is achieved

Achieve all yearly volume and distribution targets with-in the set budget, gaining maximum profitability.

Who you'll be working with


Internally, your main stakeholders will be your manager and wider team, as well as the customer marketing, digital, category and insight teams.

You will be the eyes and ears of the wholesale channel and will be expected to feedback internally on developments in the market as your understanding of the channel grows.


Externally, you will work with buyers and trading managers, who will be based in the warehouses from which your customers operate.

These relationships will be key in developing mutual business growth. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad contact network including customers' marketing, digital and operational teams.
