Role Category - the way you'll work:

_homebased__, meaning that you will work from home for the majority of the working week because you can fully deliver services in that way. Although you'll be a homebased colleague, you might sometimes need to be physically present at another location or be expected to travel to a Thirteen hub for collaborative work._

The Role:

We're looking for a Procurement Advisor to provide administrative support to our Procurement team.

Running quotations and tenders is a key function of Procurement, as well as leading on quotations and supporting more complex tenders being led by other team members.

The role involves significant use of the e-procurement portal (In-tend) and you'll be managing supplier access, ensuring tender documentation is uploaded and quality questions are entered, as well as administering contract information.

Previous use and knowledge of business systems is therefore important in being able to quickly become familiar with and use our procurement portal.

There are two Procurement Advisors in our team supported by an apprentice, reporting into Gemma, our Senior Procurement Advisor.

Other key roles in the team include a Senior Procurement Business Partner (managing procurement for Asset/ Repairs and Maintenance service areas), a Senior Procurement Manager (handling the procurement needs of our Development team) and 3 Category Managers, as well as the Head of Procurement who manages the team and leads on Procurement strategy for the business.

The team is home based with regular contact with the team and wider organisation. We work collaboratively with all service areas.

The Person:

We are looking for someone who has a 'can do' attitude and a positive approach to problem solving as things don't always run as smoothly as we would like.

We are a small team who all have vital roles in ensuring the procurement service is delivered therefore you will be able to work well in a team environment with great communication skills both verbal and written.

You will have a drive to personally develop and progress with a professional qualification (CIPS); be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and have experience in completing data analysis and creating required formulas to manage data and compare.

You will be able to quickly pick up or have some previous experience with software based systems (preferably financial systems and e-Procurement tender portals).

The future is exciting, and we only want the best to be part of it.
