Pencaitland Primary School, established on its current site, is situated in the heart of the village and is close to Winton Woods, regularly visited for outdoor learning activities, a priority at Pencaitland.
The school building is single-story and semi-open plan, consisting of 8 classrooms, a GP/Music room, a multipurpose hall with a stage, a library, a dining hall, a Support for Learning Room, and an After School Club.
The nursery class is managed by a Senior Early Years Practitioner, 5 part-time nursery nurses, and an Early Years Playworker.
Current nursery roll exceeds 32 students.
The school team includes a Head Teacher, Principal Teacher, 10 class teachers, a PE teacher, and a music teacher.
The Parent Council and PTA play a vital role in supporting the school and its activities.
The role involves providing support to students within the school environment.
Interviews are scheduled for May/June with a start date in August.
