Junior CAD Designer (Mechanical Engineering) - Salary £25,000 - £30,000 DOE Plus Bonus + Benefits

Based:
West Sussex
Our client is a global expert in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Energy Industries. They are searching for a
CAD Designerto join their design team in the UK drawing office.

This role would suit an engineering graduate with 12 months work experience or a CAD designer with a couple of years' experience who is ready to grow their career.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for problemsolving and finding solutions to sometimes complex design problems
Providing concept drawings of proposed solutions using
AutoCAD and Solidworks:
Explaining technical solutions to non-technical customers
Producing 3D designs, 2D assembly and detail drawings, including parts list and costing
Liaising with manufacturing Engineers to ensure parts can be manufactured
Liaising with the design team in Malaysia and with Project Engineers on projects
Preparation of RFQ's, production tickets and first article approval forms
Providing technical assistance to other members of staff
Research new materials and methods of development
Organise and maintain existing engineering records
Utilising TEKLA for the structural design

Ideally Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or design engineering with 12 months experience in CAD design:

Good
AutoCAD and
Solid works experience gained in a practical environment
A practical technical background relevant to the position
Attention to detail and willingness to complete projects, impeccable attention to detail
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
Use specialised software to create models and drawings of products
