    UK & Ireland Procurement Specialist

    Location: UK Headquarters, Runcorn, Liverpool

    Are you enthusiastic about procurement and excited to grow in a vibrant setting? Swissport, a prominent player in aviation services worldwide, presents a thrilling growth prospect for you. As our UK & Ireland Procurement Specialist, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing £140 million of external spending annually. This role allows hybrid work setups, letting you operate from any of our UK sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Procurement Transformation / Process Improvement
    • Lead and oversee cost-saving initiatives to spot and execute opportunities for savings through enhancing business processes.
    • Monitor and present reports on cost-saving performance indicators.
    • Promote continuous improvement endeavors within the procurement domain.
    • Develop and execute top practices, protocols, and procedures to boost procurement efficiency and efficacy.
    • For categories of spending handled centrally, act as the regional contact for UK&I operations: categories like uniform, PPE, travel.

    Supplier Onboarding

    • Create and handle the end-to-end supplier onboarding process, covering vendor registration, documentation compilation, and certification processes.
    • Guarantee the prompt and efficient onboarding of new suppliers while upholding compliance with organizational rules and legal requirements.
    • Devising and implementing an extensive pre-qualification survey to evaluate the suitability and capabilities of potential suppliers.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define pre-qualification standards and evaluation metrics.
    • Continually review and enhance the Supplier Due Diligence form to elevate its efficiency and applicability.

    Supplier Performance Monitoring:

    • Formulate and execute a supplier performance observation plan while giving the organization tools to report on supplier performance.
    • Create and manage supplier scorecards and performance analyses.
    • Conduct regular assessments and audits of supplier performance.
    • Spot and tackle performance problems, collaborating with suppliers to develop rectification strategies.

    Data Analytics and Reporting

    • Employ data analytics to back procurement decisions and strategy.
    • Analyze procurement data to pinpoint trends, risks, and enhancement opportunities.
    • Construct detailed reports and presentations on procurement performance for senior management.
    • Create and manage dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI or other fitting tools.

    Microsoft Power Platforms:

    • Utilize MS Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to streamline procurement processes.
    • Generate automated workflows to boost efficiency and precision in procurement activities.
    • Train and assist team members in utilizing Power Platform tools efficiently.

    Procurement Process Promotion:

    • Promote the acceptance and adherence to procurement processes and policies throughout the organization.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on procurement best practices.
    • Advocate for constant enhancement in procurement actions and compliance.
    • Systems Expertise:
    • Act as the procurement systems and tools expert, specifically concerning the forthcoming implementation of Zycus P2P.
    • Ensure procurement systems are optimized, sustained, and aligned with organizational requirements.
    • Resolve and troubleshoot issues linked to procurement systems.

    Procurement Communications:

    • Define and manage procurement communication plans via One Net to ensure concise, consistent, and efficient messaging.
    • Serve as the primary source for procurement-related communications within the organization.
    • Maintain the Procurement SharePoint page to ensure the content is always current and updated.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work intimately with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals.
    • Foster communication and collaboration between procurement, suppliers, and other departments.
    • Provide training and support to procurement personnel on performance management practices and tools.

    Line Management of Procurement Support Team

    • Oversee and supervise the day-to-day operations of the procurement support function.
    • Manage resources efficiently to guarantee procurement admin tasks are finished within the budget and specified timelines.
      • Be the contact point to the broader procurement team to ensure an equitable distribution of support requests/tasks.
