    Description

    Bishops Nympton Primary is federated with East Anstey Primary School as part of the Exmoor Link Federation.

    We require a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to work part time (4 days per week), starting as soon as possible. You will hold a suitable teaching assistant qualification and will be working closely with children from year one and two. There may be further support require for children across the school. You will be supporting the class teacher in delivering and developing the key stage one curriculum including small group work or 1:1 support.

    The post is fixed term for 12 months - based on current need within the setting with possibility to be made permanent.

    You will need good literacy and numeracy skills, and the ability to motivate children to achieve the best they can in a patient and sympathetic manner. A willingness to work as part of a team, as well as taking your own initiative when required, is essential. The ability to build effective working relationships with both children and adults is also essential for this post. You will have patience, flexibility and a very positive "can do" attitude. You will be calm and confident in your approach and will be willing to take part in further on-going training to develop your role. Other desirable (but not essential) attributes could include previous experience with speech and language work and other Special Educational Needs
