    Cutting-Edge Research:
    You will be instrumental in shaping experiments and providing critical datasets for in-house CRISPR, chemical and large molecule screening

    Our team spans three GSK sites in Stevenage (UK), Heidelberg (Germany) and Philadelphia (USA), with opportunities to work on multi-Omics projects that span multiple locations.

    A solid foundation in genomics assays, coupled with hands-on experience in techniques such as RNA-seq, single-cell sequencing, and epigenetics assays.

    Planning and executing data generating phases of screens where you will be designing and executing single cell and bulk transcriptomics workflows which are key parts of our discovery screening projects.

    Maintain and improve critical lab workflows and equipment in collaboration with automation experts and vendors.

    As part of the Discovery Genomics group, other responsibilities will include assisting with sequencing workflows, and data QC and analysis where appropriate.

    You will be expected to maintain knowledge of current scientific literature relevant to the role.
    You will be expected to present your results/data at both internal and external meetings.
    PhD or equivalent laboratory experience in molecular and cellular biology with significant experience in genomics workflows.
    Sound knowledge of molecular biology techniques including: qRT-PCR, NGS library preparation and QC.

    Experience in applying computational analysis methodologies for genomics data, including data QC, pre-processing and primary analysis, in particular for RNA-seq or single cell RNA-seq.

    Understanding of the drug discovery process and how genomics can be used to support target discovery and assets in later stages of the pipeline.

    Working knowledge of immunology or experience with primary human cell based projects.

    Demonstrated experience in working on projects using complex in vitro models, such as primary (immune) cells, iPSCs or organoids/spheroids.
