We are seeking an enthusiastic Turning Cell Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting CNC Sliding Head machines in order to produce high-precision components for a variety of industries.

**Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of a Turning Cell Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and implement CNC turning cell processes and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot CNC turning cell processes to optimize efficiency and output.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on CNC turning cell equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust CNC turning cell processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Boneham & Turner Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of tooling components and precision engineered components in the UK.

With over 100 years' experience in the manufacture and supply of Jig Bushes, Drill Bushes, Dowel Pins, Jig & Fixture Parts, PressTool Components, Shims, Koenig Sealing Plugs, Engineered Pins, Clevis Pins and special components to customer specific drawings.

**The Benefits

  • Monday to Thursday 8am 4:30pm, Friday 8am 1pm.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Turning Cell Engineer are:

  • Have at least 3 years' experience in setting and operating CNC Sliding Head machines, preferably Citizen.
  • Be familiar with working with various grades of stainless steel, alloy steels and plastics; manufacturing to tight tolerances.
  • Work to engineering drawings, with an ability to work to imperial and metric dimensions.
  • Be experienced in using verniers, micrometres and bore gauges.
  • Can work to a production plan, whilst considering setting and planning efficiencies.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and take great pride in their work.
  • Desire to continually learn and attend training (internal & external).
  • Be open to adopting lean methods.
  • Always consider health and safety risks.
