    We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developerwho is looking to make thetransition from coding as a full time role, into atechnical leadership position.

    You will beresponsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems and infrastructure of our BI & AI as well as our Machine Learningsoftware applications and systems.

    The Senior Backend Developer is a key member of the Sports team and will contribute to the overall success of the company by building robust and efficient backend solutions.

    You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalablesoftware products and drive innovation in our technology stack.
    Take ownership for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects.

    Design and implement tools that help engineering teams focus on shipping features, while making sure we're building infrastructure that is cost efficient, secure and reliable.

    Help identify probable causes and provide immediate solution during an incident
    Drive forward the Agile mindset what of delivering - with the focus on speed to market.
    Participate in cutting edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
    Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
    Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex projects.

    Proactively communicate with leadership:
    provide context around risks/blockers/timeline, seek guidance, and recommend a direction.
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
    ~5+ years of relevant work experience
    ~ Excellent command of the English language - Written & Spoken.
    ~ Expert knowledge of Java, Golang, Rust (At Least two) and open source software (e.g. Advanced knowledge of SQL, preferably with Oracle databases and Postgresql
    ~ Experience working with API's microservices and data manipulation.
    ~ Experience developing back office trading tools using GWT/Vaadin, SWT, Swing or JavaFX.
    ~ Demonstrable knowledge of Maven and Linux.
    ~ Experience building highly transactional, high volume distributed applications.
    ~ Knowledge of JVM monitoring and performance tuning Java applications, as well as troubleshooting issues in production
    ~ The team is a full stack team and the core skills are Java, Go (Golang), Python, C# and Typescript or Javascript.
    ~ Experience with Cloud IaaS and DevOps Platforms like Terraform, Automation, or equivalent technology.
    ~ Hands-on Experience with GCP Foundation, Storage bucket, Backup, Disaster Recovery, VPC networks, IAM, Stack driver, Troubleshooting, and Cloud Security.
