    Tasks

    Therole of Account Manager LaboratoryConsumables:

    • This roleinvolves a great mix of managing existing highvalue accounts in alucrative territory with the opportunity to take this to the nextlevel by seeking out exciting new clients andopportunities
    • Maintain frequent contact withcustomers (including distributors) to identify build and strengthenthe relationship continually assess effectiveness in meeting thecustomers needs and ultimately maximize account penetration andcustomer retention
    • Develop and execute salesand marketing plans with distributor(s) manage and enhancerelationships and conduct regular reviews to drive sales and becomea trusted point of contact
    • Continuously reviewand develop existing and new business opportunities to ensure totalrevenue and profitable growth
    • Use appropriatebusiness reports and analyses to effectively develop and manage thebusiness in their specified territory andsegment

    Requirements

    Therequirements for the Account Manager LaboratoryConsumables:

    • Experiencein either a field based OR inside sales/account management/businessdevelopment role selling life science/biotech equipment orconsumables to Academia Biotech & Pharmaceuticalindustries
    • Ideally you will be selling liquidhandling products right now such as pipettes tips or PCR/CellCulture/Tissue Culture laboratoryconsumables/plasticware
    • Degree educated(BSc/MSc) in a life sciences subject such as Microbiology VirologyBiomedical Science Biochemistry Molecular Biology or relatedfield
    • Ability to establish rapport identifyopportunities and influence a decision
    • Strongproblem solving ability
    • Excellent communicationskills (written and oral)
    • Valid UK driverslicense andpassport
