Are you an experienced Microbiologist? Do you have experience in Microbiological analysis of Food samples? Are you looking for a new challenge?

A successful and expanding contract testing laboratory are seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join the team at their site in Hemel Hempstead. The company offer testing and analytical services to the food industry. This is an excellent opportunity, ideal for an experienced Microbiologist with a background in Food testing who is looking for a new challenge.

Role Overview

Perform Microbiological Analysis and Plate reading of Food, Water and swab samples.
Perform quality checks and ensure adherence to guidelines, SOPs and company standards.
Support Junior staff and provide training when necessary.
Ensure all work is conducted in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and UKAS

Requirements

Degree level qualification in a relevant Scientific discipline or equivalent working experience in a Microbiology Laboratory.
Experience in Food Microbiology Testing
Experience working in accordance with UKAS ISO17025 requirements.
Desirable to have experience with the following techniques/types of analysis: MALDI TOF, VIDAS and a range of food analysis testing : E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Yeast and Mould.
