    Job Title: English Teacher or English Lead.

    Location: Preston area, UK

    Are you a passionate and qualified English teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a team at a school in the Preston area.

    Job Description:
    As an English Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in the study of English literature and language. You will plan and deliver lessons that foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. This role offers the chance to contribute to the academic and personal development of young learners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum.
    • Teach a range of topics including classic and contemporary literature, language analysis, and writing skills.
    • Encourage students to develop their reading abilities.
    • The current English Teacher also leads Careers within the school.
    • Foster creativity and effective communication through written expression.
    • Assess students' progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or relevant teaching qualification.
    • Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
    • Effective classroom management skills and organisational abilities.
    • Commitment to continuous professional development.

    • You must have legal right to work in the UK
    • You must be willing to attend a registration interview

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

    Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
