    Alexander Steele Recruitment is collaborating with a well-established food manufacturing company located in Peterhead, offering you the chance to become their next Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

    As the chosen candidate, you will be accountable for maintaining the electrical functionality of equipment, delivering comprehensive engineering assistance under the guidance of the Engineering Team Leaders and Chief Engineer.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage planned and preventative maintenance tasks, and enhance PPM's whenever feasible
    • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns to ensure optimal line efficiency in the production process
    • Support in overseeing the engineering stores by identifying parts and initiating parts requisition forms for repairs and restocking
    • Ensure strict adherence to the stores' check-in and check-out procedures
    • Maintain compliance with Health and Safety as well as Food Safety standards, striving to surpass set benchmarks

    Experience and Skills We Seek:

    • Possess a formal engineering qualification, minimum of City and Guilds level, ONC/HNC level, or equivalent. Alternatively, showcase substantial experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing setting
    • Ideally, have a background of two to three years in a fast-paced industry
    • Familiarity with maintenance of modern processing plant machinery is advantageous
    • While prior exposure to food processing equipment is beneficial, it is not mandatory
    • Demonstrate proficiency in handling electrical test equipment, interpreting schematic diagrams, and working with single and 3 phase installations involving motors, inverters, and PLC's (desirable but not obligatory)
