    Bertrandt is an independent and international development service provider with long years of automotive expertise. We deal with a focus on hot topics such as digitalization, e-mobility and autonomous systems, mainly for the automotive, aerospace and mechanical engineering sectors, and consistently facilitate the development of tailored solutions in these areas. Our goal: to accelerate technological progress and make a relevant contribution to a sustainable future. We work on this every day – with around 14,000 employees at more than 50 sites worldwide.

    We are supporting various customers worldwide in automotive electrical and electronics systems development. We are recruiting for a Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer for our UK customer.

    You will be responsible for establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles including the dimensions; mass balance; occupant positions and accommodation and the mechanical arrangement with geometrical compatibility. You will be part of the first engineering team involved in the programme and involvement continues to Job#1 and beyond.

    What you bring along:

    Skills required:

  • Excellent project and people management skills, with tenacity in resolving issues
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to interface with senior management
  • Ability to resolve complex, multi-dimensional problems and present solutions with clarity

    • Skills preferred:

  • Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros - E2KS and Digital Buck tools
  • CATIA abilities

    • Experience required

  • Delivery of vehicle programs

    • Experience preferred:

  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle variants / configurations preferred

    • Education required:

  • Degree in Engineering discipline
