This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a practitioner with a passion for furthering trauma informed practice within the youth justice context.

The Forensic Adolescent Consultation and Treatment Service (FACTS) is a national Tier-4 service that provides specialist assessment and consultation for children (aged deemed high risk to others and who present with significant complexity.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


The post holder will be instrumental in the roll out of Enhanced Case Management (ECM) - a trauma informed approach to supporting children known to youth justice.

This approach has been evaluated and is now being rolled out across all 17 YOT's in Wales. You will be responsible for chairing multi-agency timelining meetings either in person or online. You will liaise with youth justice professionals advising and consulting on specific cases referred in to the ECM.

This role will be pivotal in the development of a training package to be rolled out for all professionals within the youth justice setting and further developments e.g., smaller reflective groups, alongside the Psychologists in the team.


The role may also include the provision of advice and consultation to CAMHS services for children who present with a high level of complexity and significant risk to others.

You will contribute to the work of other members of the multi-disciplinary team through attendance at professional meetings and the weekly MDT.

Training in the administration of structured risk assessment can be provided on appointment.
