We are seeking to appoint outstanding and energetic Class Teachers to join our team at St. Georges House, Brighton. We are seeking a Maths specialist, with the ability to deliver at both GCSE and Functional Skills level. It would be desirable for potential candidates to be willing to deliver additional subjects.

Applicants must be enthusiastic, with an understanding of and commitment to children with complex behavioural, social and emotional difficulties.

Information about the School

St. Georges House is a new satellite key stage 4 provision, linked to The Ropemakers School in Hailsham. It will be offering a nurturing, inclusive environment for twenty pupils with SEMH and associated needs. We have high expectations for each child to leave as a confident young adult who is well prepared for their post-16 journey and future.

St. Georges is an innovative project developed in close partnership with Brighton and Hove County Council. Opening in September 2024, St. Georges will aim to deliver outstanding education and care focusing on offering pupils the opportunity to build their resilience for the rest of their lives. There will be an emphasis on improving emotional, academic, vocational and physical skills leading to meaningful, sustainable outcomes for life.

Additional areas of responsibilities for this role include: Exams and 14-16 College provision oversight.
