Join Our Team
You will be our
Head of Program Management. You have day to day responsibility for management and monitoring of the delegated business in SiriusPoint International across all business classes (Sirius International Managing Agency Ltd. "SIMA", Syndicate 1945 and SiriusPoint International Insurance Corporation "SINT").

You will lead a team of Program Managers and Deputy Program Managers and report to the Head of Delegated Business.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the management and monitoring of all delegated authority business, including but not limited to, binding authorities, line slips, consortia.
  • Deal directly with coverholders and coverholder brokers in regard to any issues or queries.
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact internally and externally with responsibility to coordinate and communicate the onboarding of new or potential program business.
  • The approval of all new and renewal delegated contracts. This involves approving the coverholder through due diligence per Lloyd's requirements for delegated authority.
  • Assess any new coverholder to Lloyd's.
  • Ensure liaison with Claims Manager takes place on every delegated contract.
  • Select and approve any coverholder TPA and ensure SIMA TPA agreement is signed prior to inception of the coverholder agreement.
  • Ensure liaison with Finance Team in respect of suitability of coverholder financials during due diligence.
  • Ensure the team adheres to the MGA Playbook.
  • Ensure liaison and coordination with internal stakeholders in the MGA endto end process across the coverholder lifecycle, including but not limited to, Underwriting, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Pricing & Reserving, MGA Oversight, Claims, IT, Outwards Reinsurance and the Risk department.
  • Ensure the team adheres to the SIMA Delegated Authority Procedures in regard to all delegated contracts.
  • Maintain an audit diary in respect of all coverholder business, following the audit principles detailed in the SIMA Delegated Authority Procedures.
  • Ensure any audit recommendations are followed up with the broker / coverholder after discussion with syndicate underwriters and / or Active Underwriter.
  • Deal directly with coverholder brokers in regard to any issues or queries as advised by syndicate underwriters.
  • Meet on a monthly basis with the Active Underwriter to discuss all aspects of delegated business.
  • Own the delegated authority management system, producing output to other departments where applicable e.g. aggregate reporting for Cat models and sanctions output for Finscan.
  • Liaise with Lloyd's coverholder department where required.
  • Member of the informal Lloyd's Delegated Underwriting Management (DUM) group, which monitors and reports on all aspects of delegated business through contact with Lloyd's / LMA / Brokers / IUA etc.
  • To ensure delegated authority processes, procedures and controls exceed, or at the very least meet Lloyd's Principles for doing business.
  • Attend the Product Oversight Group and provide management information and relevant information at the meetings.
  • Act as Risk Owner, to assume responsibility for managing all aspects of allocated risk(s).
  • Act as a Control Owner, to assume responsibility for the management and execution of specified controls/action plans.
  • To participate as a member of the Underwriting Committee and attend other committee meetings as may be required.
  • Ensure legal outsourcing is assessed and appropriately handled.
  • Develop a SiriusPoint International Best Practice for MGAs that is designed to perform well throughout various market cycles.
  • Identifies emerging trends for use in market development and develops strategies to manage risks.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.
