Compliance Manager, South Yorkshire. Up to £55,000 + bonus & benefits. (Flexible working)

Synchronicity Compliance are working with a large independent Insurance Broker with 600+ staff and a Compliance Team of 14. They are looking for Strong generalist to support the business across all areas of compliance.

Great opportunity for growth & development as they are acquiring further businesses in and around the area and will be looking for you to grow and lead a team.


The role:


  • Reviewing current compliance controls and frameworks, identifying areas for improvement and putting in place relevant action plans.
  • Providing effective support, guidance and advice across all areas of the business.
  • Implementing and embedding the compliance culture.
  • Maintaining and reviewing policies, procedures, and annual plans for Compliance and Risk.
  • Providing proactive support and constructive advice on compliance and related matters acting as a Trusted Advisor to the business.
  • Investigate and respond to breaches and complaints.
  • Review and arrange sign off for new and replacement insurer agreements.
  • Promoting a culture of continual improvement in the quality of the customer experience.
  • Work with Group Compliance to implement group initiatives and compliance plans.

To apply:


  • You must have a strong generalist background gained in a similar role within the Insurance Market.
  • Possess strong and up to date knowledge of FCA regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple projects with varying and challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with a high degree of flexibility and autonomy.
  • Strong influencing skills with experience in working with senior management teams to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
