Senior Private Banking Officer:

INTERNAL VACANCY - Please Note That This Vacancy Is For Current Nedbank Private Wealth Limited Employees Only


Are you a strong team player who can demonstrate good leadership skills? We're looking for someone who is organised and able to work efficiently under pressure to manage our team of Private Banking Officers in the Isle of Man office.


The role will sit in a team responsible for supporting the Private Bankers to ensure regulatory requirements are met and clients are assisted with onboarding and other queries to our high standards.

Role specific details

  • Assisting in the proactive development of existing and potential client relationships
  • Undertaking clientrelated initiatives and projects as and when required
  • Within the closely regulated regime, preparing investment and lending proposals and all supporting documentation for existing and potential clients when requested to do so by Private Bankers
  • Supporting the Private Bankers to ensure client reviews are completed ahead of any regulatory requirements and are completed to the required standard
  • Supporting Isle of Man based Private Bankers by preparing paperwork, contacting clients and joining meetings where appropriate to complete client reviews
  • When acting as a secondary point of contact for clients, maintaining a high level of service in relation to banking, investments, fiduciary and credit
  • Assisting with onboarding clients introduced by IOM based Private Bankers
  • Complying with the provisions of the Bank's ongoing Training and Competency policy
  • Managing the daytoday needs of the IOM Private Banking Support team members
  • Managing the workflow requirements of the IOM Private Banking team to ensure support is prioritised appropriately
  • Supporting the professional development of the IOM Private Banking Support team members

Qualifications

  • Investment qualification: Attained or working towards Level
  • Lending qualification: Attained or working towards CeMAP

Technical Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in banking
  • A strong understanding of the bank's risk appetite and the fundamental risks associated with the portfolio of current clients and prospective clients
