Business Development Job Description:
As a Pest Control Surveyor with a focus on Business Development, you will be responsible for conducting surveys, identifying pest control opportunities, and developing new business relationships to expand the client base and revenue streams of the pest control company.
Your role involves assessing pest infestations, providing customized solutions, and presenting proposals to potential clients to address their pest management needs.
Below is a detailed job specification outlining the key duties and qualifications for this role:Key Responsibilities:
Survey and Assessment: Conduct thorough surveys of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to assess pest infestations, identify pest species, and evaluate the extent of the problem.
Collect relevant data, inspect premises, and analyze pest control requirements to develop tailored solutions.Client Consultation:
Meet with prospective clients to understand their pest management needs, discuss service options, and propose customized pest control solutions.
Provide expert advice on pest biology, behavior, and prevention strategies to help clients make informed decisions.Proposal Development:
Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and service agreements outlining recommended pest control treatments, service schedules, and pricing structures.
Present proposals to clients in a clear and professional manner, addressing their concerns and answering any questions they may have.
Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities and target markets for pest control services, including property management companies, hospitality industry, food processing facilities, healthcare facilities, and residential communities.
Develop strategic sales plans and prospect lists to generate leads and secure new accounts.Networking and Relationship Building:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including property managers, facility directors, building owners, and decision-makers in target industries.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote the company's services and expand its market presence.Market Research:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments related to pest control. Conduct market research, analyze customer needs, and identify emerging opportunities for business growth and innovation.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Manage the sales pipeline, track leads, and follow up on inquiries to ensure timely response and conversion of prospects into clients.
Use customer relationship management (CRM) software to document interactions, schedule appointments, and monitor sales performance.Collaboration with Operations Team:
Coordinate with the operations team to schedule service appointments, allocate resources, and ensure seamless execution of pest control treatments.
