Birmingham City University's Faculty of Arts, Design & Media is a large and diverse place to work and study right in the heart of the city and we currently have an exciting opportunity for two School Coordinators to join our dynamic team.


These roles are ideal for someone who wants to positively contribute to the student experience at Birmingham City University by assisting with key School activities.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Providing high quality administrative support to your School and Faculty.
  • Taking responsibility for some budgetary administration including monitoring income, expenditure and assisting with budget setting.
  • Maintain accurate records in relating to staff (including Visiting Lecturers) as well as assisting in recruitment of Visiting Lecturers.
  • Assist with purchasing, make arrangements for travel or hospitality where required, and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Respond to queries from staff, students, or external visitors to assist with the running of the School.

Skills and Experience:


  • You will be educated to a degree level, with proven experience monitoring budgets, recruiting staff organising travel and supporting projects desirable.
  • You will have good communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and an ability to deliver good customer service.
  • A good level of English and Numeracy competency is desirable.
